Maria Padilha is unique in as much as she did not begin HER journey as a goddess, spirit demon, or archetypal energy. Her origins can be found in the history books as a wife and as a queen. Veronica Rivas takes us on a fascinating journey as she shares this woman’s history as well as her place within the magickal hierarchy. Veronica Rivas shares with us her enthusiasm, and her love for this once queen. Maria Padilha is professionally researched and beautifully written.

The work of an independent researcher the short work is packed with information and insights about this mysterious figure. It's a good book, a *must read* for anyone with an interest in Quimbanda.   gavin mercer

It is a good book about Pombagira Queen Maria Padilha and also the Dakini System

Bravo! I've enjoyed this good book on Brazilian Quimbanda's Exu-Woman (Pombagira Queen) Maria Padilha a.k.a. Padilla.
And I was quite surprised by the writer's presentation of the Dakini System ( Trantric Hinduism and Asian Buddhism ) in association, in relation to the Pombagira, to the Exu / Pombagira System.
Personally I am 100% Pagan, and I am not fan of Buddhism, nor a fan of of Hinduism, due to their very Patriarchal / Patristic ways in their Mythologies. However, again I was pleasantly surprised how the writer presented the Dakini System in a new light of understanding, from a more Pagan & evolved perspective. I recommend this book! Cheers!  JD Aeon
